Health Insurance

Drake’s student health insurance policy for the 2013-14 academic year is as follows:

Domestic students (U.S. citizens and permanent residents) taking 6 or more credit hours and are in a degree seeking program will not automatically be enrolled in the health insurance plan, but may voluntarily enroll.

The premium rate for the voluntary domestic annual plan is $2,020, which is payable at time of enrollment.

International students will automatically be enrolled in the student health insurance plan at a rate of $1,135.
 

Meal Plans

Students wishing to purchase a meal plan may do so by contacting Drake Dining Services at 515-271-3175. 
 

Parking Permits

Parking on campus lots during the summer and orientation period will not require a permit. Students wishing to park in campus lots after that time will be required to purchase a parking permit from the Student Accounts Office in Old Main during fall orientation. A large parking lot is conveniently located south of Forest Avenue between 24th and 25th Streets.
