Jeffrey has joined the Litigation Division of the law firm of Davis, Brown, Koehn, Shors & Roberts, P.C. Mr. Ewoldt practices in the areas of commercial litigation, construction law, employment and labor relations, and insurance defense. Formerly with the Whitfield law firm, he is a 2000 graduate of the Drake University Law School.







Amber K. Rutledge (LW '07)

Amber has joined the Litigation Division in the law firm of Davis, Brown, Koehn, Shors & Roberts, P.C. Ms. Rutledge practices in the areas of litigation and appeals. She is a 2007 graduate of the Drake University Law School and member of the Order of the Coif.








Krystle L. Campa (LW '07)

Krystle has joined the Business and Real Estate Department in the law firm of Davis, Brown, Koehn, Shors & Roberts, P.C. Ms. Campa practices in the areas of business organizations and transactions, commercial litigation, real estate, and real estate planning, development and management. She is a 2007 graduate of the Drake University Law School and member of the Order of the Coif.

Tracy R. Justesen (LW '98)

Tracy was sworn into office in December as the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services within the US Department of Education. President Bush nominated Mr. Justesen on November 15th and the US Senate confirmed him on December 21, 2007. Just prior to his appointment as Assistant Secretary, Mr. Justesen served several years as an attorney at the US Department of Justice. He also served as Associate Director at the White House Domestic Policy Council.



Jean M. Mauss (LW '99)

Jean M. Mauss has joined Goodman & Associates, P.C. as an attorney. She was previously an attorney with Roxanne Conlin & Associates, P.C.

Ms. Mauss was born in Lacrosse, Wisconsin and was admitted to the Iowa bar in 1999. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa. She attended preparatory education at the University of Iowa and received a B.L.S. in 1991. She received her legal education at Drake University with a J.D. with honors in 1999.

Ms. Mauss is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.




Aimee R. Campbell (LW '04)

Aimee R. Campbell has joined Goodman & Associates, P.C. as an attorney. She was previously with Wells Fargo.

Ms. Campbell was born in Des Moines, Iowa and was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2004. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa. She attended preparatory education at the University of Iowa and received a B.A. in 2001. She received her legal education at Drake University with a J.D. with honors in 2004.

Ms. Campbell is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.

David Rich (LW '84)

Dave is the former Assistant General Counsel to Navigant International, Inc. and brings over 20 years of experience in corporate law & transactions, business operations, commercial leases, travel industry law, bankruptcy and insolvency law to the firm of Onsager, Staelin and Guyerson, LLC in Denver, Colorado.



Daniel A. Rosenberg (LW '97)

Patent attorney Daniel A. Rosenberg joins Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association, after practicing 10 years in Iowa. He is a member of the firm's business law section. Rosenberg, who is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), brings unique technical experience to the intellectual property practice group stemming from over a decade of experience in semiconductor process engineering.

He previously worked for Intel Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices, and understands the technical demands and challenges of such environments from the perspective of both engineer and intellectual property attorney. During his career, Rosenberg has been responsible for more than 400 domestic and foreign trademark applications for clients in many industries, including the fields of medicine, telecommunications, manufacturing, and software and electronics, among numerous others. Rosenberg is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Iowa state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

He is a member of the Minnesota, Iowa State and American Bar associations, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the International Trademark Association, and the Iowa Intellectual Property Law Association. Rosenberg received his B.S. in mathematics from Iowa State University and his J.D. from Drake University Law School, where he was elected to Order of the Coif and also received a physics minor.



Katherine Swank (LW '85)

Katherine is the newest Consultant with Blackbaud Analytics.

With more than 20 years of legal and nonprofit management experience, Katherine has raised approximately $215 million for national healthcare and public broadcasting organizations, as well as an independent law school. Prior to joining Blackbaud in May 2007, Ms. Swank was the national director of gift planning at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where she provided fundraising consulting services to the Society's chapter leadership and development staff for six years. She is an affiliate faculty member of Regis University's master of nonprofit management degree program in Denver, teaching classroom and online courses on wealth and philanthropy. She holds an independent studies degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a law degree from the Drake University School of Law in Des Moines, Iowa.



Thomas O'Brien (LW '96)

Thomas has taken a position with the Office of the General Counsel for Chrysler Financial Services and is in the process of moving from Milwaukee to the Detroit area.



Marilyn Scheer (LW '79)

I am now working as a senior attorney for Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton in Los Angeles, CA. I worked in Los Angeles for 16 years, moved to San Diego for three, but then missed Los Angeles, so much that I returned last year. I have changed the focus of my practice from litigation and bankruptcy to real estate finance.



Kent Lund (LW '80)

Kent has joined George K. Baum and Company, headquarted on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri, as the Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. His office will be located in Denver, Colorado.

Michael Lorenz (LW '91)

I have been named Director of the Union Services Division for Auxiant, a third party administrator of employee benefit plans and plan design specialists. This is an addition to my role as Vice President and Director of Compliance. I have been with the firm since Mid 2005.

My wife and I just had our second child, also a boy, at the end of May.



Lori D. Skibbie (LW '01)

I recently joined the law firm of Henningson & Snoxell, Ltd. as an associate in the estate planning department. In addition to preparing Wills, Trusts and other estate planning documents, I also practice in the areas of conservatorship, guardianship, estate and trust administration.



Jennifer Williams Zwagerman (LW '04)

Jennifer recently completed her clerkship with the Honorable David R. Hansen of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and has returned to the Des Moines area where she will be an associate with the Des Moines office of Faegre & Benson starting in September.

She was also married on August 18 to Jay Zwagerman.



Marcy Rial Lundberg (LW '04)

On June 14, 2007, my husband, Tim and I--along with daughter Mariah (12) and son Jacob (3) welcomed a new addition to our family, Carlyn Anna Lundberg.

Also in June I completed one year of service on the Board of Governors of the Iowa State Bar Association. It was an interesting year! I have a general practice in Fort Dodge with Blake Parker Law Office.



Jennifer J. Rose (LW '76)

Rose retired as editor-in-chief of GP|Solo magazine after 12 years at the helm to become Secretary of the American Bar Association General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Division.
At the ABA annual meeting in San Francisco, she was recognized by the Division for Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to the ABA GP|Solo and Small Firm Division as Editor-in-Chief of the GP|Solo Editorial Board.

Bruce Recher (LW '78)

Worcester’s Bruce C. Recher Named Among 2007 Super Lawyers®

Recher grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts and works at Henson & Efron, P.A. in Minneapolis where his practice areas include Commercial Litigation, Employment Law and Products Liability and Toxic Tort Litigation.

Amanda Knief (LW '06)

I have been invited to attend an international law conference in St. Petersburg, Russia, this November with People to People Ambassador Programs. My participation is made possible by a nomination from the American Bar Association. The conference will feature round-table discussions between U.S. and Russian delegates about topics such as human trafficking of women, women's issues, human rights, legal ethics, international trade law between the United States and Russia, litigation, and election law.



Gary Dickey Jr. (LW '02)

I recently became a founding member of Dickey & Campbell Law Firm, P.L.C., a general practice firm located in the historic East Village in Des Moines. Prior to starting Dickey & Campbell, I served as general counsel and policy director for Governor Vilsack and Lt. Governor Pederson, and more recently as a division administrator for the Iowa Department of Economic Development.

On October 3, 2006, my wife (Shannon) and I celebrated the birth of our daughter, Cassidy Marie Dickey.

Timothy J. Reichwald (LW '04) and Miya (Molaison) Reichwald (LW '04)

Timothy and Miya started their own firm practicing mainly in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation, and estate planning. The name of the firm is Reichwald & Reichwald.

Tim is also an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Lakeland College, Sheboygan, Wisconsin at the Green Bay center.

They recently had their first child, Reece Nellie Reichwald.

Michael and Krissy Hughes announce the birth of their son Colvin Michael Hughes, born April 14, 2007.

Micheal is a 2006 graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College and has taken a position with Hazelton Law Firm in Bemidji, Minnesota.

I obtained a Nursing Home Administrator's license from the Iowa Department of Public Health in April of 2007; and obtained a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute in June of 2007.

I am currently working as the Deputy Johnson County Attorney in the county where I grew up. Also, I am a partner in Smith Hogancamp Law in Tecumseh, Nebraska.



Nate Boulton (LW '05)

Will receive Simpson College's 2007 Recent Alumni Acheivement Award on June 22, 2007. Earlier this year, was appointed to the ITLA Workers' Compensation Core Group and the ISBA Workers' Compensation Section Council.

Rose, who has served as editor-in-chief of GP|Solo magazine since 1995, has been named Secretary-Elect of the American Bar Association General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Division.

She was editor of the best-selling book published by the American Bar Association, "How to Capture and Keep Clients."

I work from Denver, Colorado.

Christopher is Managing Director of International Tax at RSM McGladrey, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN.  He also received his Masters of Business Taxation (MBT) degree in May 2007.

Sarah is a stay-at-home mom to Ben, Emma and Grace in Plymouth, MN.



Amber S. Brady (LW '05)


I have accepted a position to serve as the general counsel/ag policy director for the Department of Agriculture in the State of South Dakota.

This transition will definitely be bittersweet, as I leave practicing law with Zach, and move from family and friends in Texas. But, this is truly an amazing career opportunity for me, and I am very excited about the new job.

And, to my friends in the Midwest, yes, indeed, I will be closer to you now.

The move will happen quickly. My last day at ZSB, PC is Friday, May 4. I will be moving to Pierre the following week, and my first day with the SD Department of Agriculture is Monday, May 14.

Mike Sinnen (LW '06)


I have accepted an associate attorney position at Matthiesen, Wickert, & Lehrer, S.C., an insurance defense and subrogation law firm located in Hartford, Wisconsin. Hartford is a town located in metropolitan Milwaukee, roughly 30 miles northwest of downtown Milwaukee. The firm currently has nine attorneys, and my start date is April 23.

Heather L. Fleming (LW '02)

Heather just accepted a new position as Director of Organizational Development for Van Meter Industrial (an electrical wholesale company headquartered in Cedar Rapids with locations all over Iowa and in Minnesota and Wisconsin).






Megan Anne Lantz (LW'05)




   Announce the birth of our first child, Addison Noelle Lantz on September 24,
   2006, 4 lbs. 13 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.




Sarah F. Jones (LW'91), Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts

Sarah (LW, '91) spent over thirteen years as a prosecutor with the Will County, IL State's Attorney's Office, ending her career as a felony trial supervisor. She was also a member of the Capital Litigation Trial Bar, qualifying her to try death penalty cases.

In January, 2007 she was appointed by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride to serve as a circuit judge. Jones will run in November, 2008 to retain her seat on the bench.



Tye (LW'03) and Renee (Wiszowaty) Klooster (LW'02)


Announce the birth of their son Jacob Klooster, born December 12, 2006. Jake was 7 pounds, 10 ounces.

Also, Tye has co-authored an article that appeared in the December 2006 issue of Trusts and Estates magazine titled "Beneficiary-Controlled Trusts May Lose Asset Protection".

I have recently been promoted to ERISA Counsel for Region IX of the Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, with branch offices in Los Angeles and Seattle, I am responsible for supervising all the ERISA litigation the Department brings in California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa.
