What is the Law School Annual Fund and why is it important?

Under our independent budget model, your gift to the Law School Annual Fund (LSAF) directly benefits and impacts the Law School , providing resources for student programs and scholarships, faculty scholarship and research, guest lecturers, technology upgrades, building renovations and opperational funds etc.

Drake is a truly unique and special place to study law.  This is an exciting time at the law school.  We believe in our mission and are building momentum in the participation and dollars raised in the LSAF.

What is Drake's fiscal year?

The Law School recognizes gifts according to Drake University's fiscal year which runs June 1- May 31.

Does my small gift really make a difference?

Yes, absolutely!  Any gift to Drake Law School-regardless of the amount- helps the Law School reach its participation goal.  Participation sends a message to the University, prospective students, donors and other alumni that the graduates of Drake Law School believe in the mission of the school and value the education they received.

When is the best time to make a gift?

Many of our alums choose to make their gifts at the end of the calendar year to take advantage of the IRS tax benefits.  Alumni that make their gift early in the fiscal year decrease our costs as they are removed from the solicitation mailings.

How can I update my alumni records?
