        preferred, compared to 78.6% nationally.

      • Only 6.9% of Drake’s Class of 2014 reported they were unemployed and seeking a position ten months post-graduation, compared to 9.8% nationally.

For students in position required bar passage or where a J.D. was preferred, Drake was 10th out of 24 schools in the region (the twenty-four law schools in Iowa and the six contiguous states) and above the regional average. In those same two categories, Drake was in the 70th percentile nationally (almost 7% above the national average).*

Nationwide in 2014, 1,583 grads were hired by their own law schools; one school hired over 21% of its own graduating class and ten schools hired more than 10%. If you adjust for employment by law schools, nationally Drake's employment numbers ranked it 44th out of 203 schools, the 78th percentile and 7.4% above the national average. Regionally, Drake was 11th out of 24 schools and almost 1.1% better than the regional average. If you look at positions that require bar passage or where a J.D. is preferred, Drake was 36th of the 203 schools nationally (10.3% above national average), and 8th of the 24 regional schools (almost 3% above regional average) when you remove positions funded by schools from consideration.
