Practice Makes Perfect

"Like many of my colleagues on the Drake Law faculty, I come to law teaching with the perspective of one who has "practiced what she preaches." Prior to becoming a law professor, I enjoyed seven years of civil litigation and appellate practice with a large Texas law firm, in which I became a shareholder. I believe that this practice background adds breadth and a unique dimension to both my teaching and legal scholarship."
