Westlaw offers PDF documents for many opinions reported in its National Reporter System. 

U.S. Reports. HeinOnline offers PDF versions of United States Reports from 1754 to the most recent available. It also offers preliminary prints and slip opinions to date.

The Supreme Court offers PDF versions of United States Reports available starting at vol. 502. As of August 7, 2008, holdings went through vol. 544.

The most recent advance sheets and bound volumes for most reporters are housed in the stacks on the first floor of the library. The United States Reports advance sheets are kept on reserve and may be obtained by asking at the Information Desk. (Typically reserve items cannot be checked out for more than two hours.) Older reporters and some specialized reporters (e.g., Bankruptcy Reporter) are available in the stacks on the second floor of the library.

Court sites may offer PDF copies of their opinions. Use the Emory Federal Court Finder to locate federal courts. Use the National Center for State Courts' directory to find state courts.

For federal district court opinions and filings from 2004 or later, you can also try Justia's Federal District Court Opinions & Orders or Federal District Court (Civil) Filings, both in beta.

LLMC Digital. This source includes some federal court opinions, as well as some old court opinions from California, Michigan, and North Dakota, viewable as PDF or TIFF files.

United States Supreme Court Records and Briefs, 1832 - 1978. This database features approximately 11 million pages and more than 350,000 separate documents. Almost 150,000 Supreme Court cases are available. (Currently available from on-campus only.)

Iowa Records and Briefs. The Drake Law Library collection of Iowa appellate records and briefs is shelved by docket number. Briefs from 1910-1986 are on the third floor of the library. Briefs from 1987 to the present are in the Iowa Wing.

Briefs on Westlaw. Westlaw's collection includes federal and state briefs and can also be searched by topic.
LexisNexis Briefs, Motions, Pleadings, and Verdicts (Legal > Briefs, Motions, Pleadings & Verdicts). This collection includes selected state and federal briefs.
