Email Reference Policy:
Reference requests received electronically are reviewed Monday through Friday. Every attempt will be made to respond within 1 to 2 business days after receiving the request. If you need more rapid assistance, please call the Information Desk at (515) 271-3189, or come to the Law Library in person.
The reference email service only responds to simple questions about the library's collections (e.g. "Does the library own this book"), services (e.g. "When are reference librarians available?"), and policies (e.g "Can I check out a book?").
Please note that our reference librarians cannot specify which laws apply to a situation, interpret the law, give legal advice, or conduct legal research for you.
