Bullying Panel Featured in The Des Moines Register

The Drake University School of Education staged a two-hour panel discussion in Cowles Library, “Bullying: Educators’ Legal Responsibilities,” with four panelists: Jason Glass, director of the Iowa Department of Education; Brent Pattison, assistant clinical professor of law at Drake (as well as director of Drake’s Lyle and Joan Middleton Center for Children’s Rights and a former elementary and middle school teacher); Mary Gannon, attorney for the Iowa Association of School Boards; and Sue Schirmer, license renewal coordinator for Heartland Area Education Agency and an adjunct professor at Drake.
