Trisha Fillbach, Director of Career Development

As Director of Career Development, Trisha is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the Career Development Office (CDO), from student programs, resources and services to employer outreach. In addition, she is available for individual career counseling sessions with students and alumni, and she plans and presents workshops on an array of career development skills and topics.
Prior to joining Drake Law School, Trisha served as the Associate Director of Career Development at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. As Associate Director, Trisha counseled hundreds of students and reviewed numerous resumes and cover letters. She also created and presented informative, entertaining career-related workshops, and developed Pepperdine’s first Mock Interview Program. Upon graduation from law school, Trisha served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Debra Jacobson in Rochester, Minnesota. Following her clerkship appointment, she practiced family and criminal law at DeWitt Ross & Stevens, s.c. in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to her practice, Trisha was a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin and Assistant Editor of the Wisconsin Journal of Family Law.
Carole Tillotson, Assistant Director of Career Development

As Assistant Director of Career Development, Carole is responsible for counseling law students and alumni on all aspects of legal employment, from summer internships and part-time work during school to permanent jobs and alternative legal careers. Additionally, Carole plans and presents workshops on an array of career development skills and topics.
Prior to joining Drake Law School, Carole had a broad-based legal career in Des Moines beginning as a bond attorney with Ahlers & Cooney, P.C. More recently, she was a commercial real estate broker with CB Richard Ellis/Hubbell Commercial. She has also served as the Assistant General Counsel at Wells Fargo Financial, Inc., General Counsel to the Iowa Finance Authority and vice president of Springsted Incorporated, a public finance advisory firm. In addition, Carole serves on the Windsor Heights City Council.
